A Little Taste of Spring....
So Western New York has actually had a fairly mild winter! I came home from work last week and the sun was shining and it was surprisingly warm- in the mid 40s I would say. I opened my door to let some of the fresh air in (it gets so stuffy being cooped up all winter long), and saw how excited my furry children were to see a glimpse of the outdoors! So I set up their chair in front of the door, and watched how excited they were becoming. Life can be so sweet....here's to the little things....

Best Friend Necklaces: The Chevron Arrow (Sneak Peek!)
So today I thought I would give you a sneak peek of my new design of necklaces. I have been making best friend and mother/daughter necklaces for a while; I think matching jewelry is a beautiful way for people to feel connected to each other, and to show the world what that friendship means. The chevron and arrow designs are so popular now, as they should be- the clean simple lines are so aesthetically pleasing to just about everyone. So that got me thinking- how to turn the chevron/arrow design into a best friend necklace. Ah ha! Broken arrows! So here is my newest design: clean, simple, and perfect for those boho friends who want to make their friendship known! And what about color? Here's the best part- these are customizable! The necklaces have been designed to incorporate you and your friend's favorite colors. Cool, right? Hopefully so- I would love to get your opinion!

Passing Valentines
Well, here it is Valentine's Day. I got out of work at 5 while my husband was starting work at 5. At least we both work at the same place and we were able to pass each other in the hallway, and exchange the following dialogue:
Me: "Did you know today was Valentine's Day?"
Hubby: "Oh, oops....uh.....I forgot...."
Me: "I kinda forgot too, well, at least you bought that $900 guitar you wanted."
Hubby: "Oh, yeah....I guess I did. Sorry I didn't get you anything. You can buy that dress you said you wanted on Etsy."
Guilt trips can be so sweet. Here's hoping you and your Valentine enjoy the little moments that make life so sweet.

The Dependable Narwhal
When I first selling on Etsy back in October, I was racking my brain trying to think up unique designs that would draw people to my oh-so-new and 'no, I don't have any feedback' shop. I was looking for trends (mustaches, or chevrons, anyone?) that I could take my own twist on. Well, that was a nice idea (and it was an idea I was able to work with later on), but I wanted to create something truly unique and one of a kind. So that got me thinking- what is unique? Well, narwhals, of course! I quickly started laying out designs, and my narwhal necklace came to life!
Well, needless to say this little narwhal has become beloved by many wonderful etsians. I was so proud that I finally created something with my own two hands that brought attention to my little shop. I've lost count of how many of these I have had to create! I have also created some narwhal earrings using a slightly different color palette:

What's next? I will be sure to think new and exciting ways to make this elusive and mysterious narwhal wearable!
